Important Information for U.S. Mobile Users:
If you're a mobile user in the U.S., it's essential to know that you have control over whether you receive text messages through the Time app. This is because regulations require your explicit consent to receive SMS messages.
How It Works:
The Time app has a straightforward process to make this easy for you. When you decide to opt in, we'll send a code to your mobile phone. This code acts as a security measure to confirm your intent and ensure you genuinely want to receive text messages from the app.
In simple terms, opting in is your way of saying "yes" to text messages, and the code we send to your phone is like a virtual handshake, ensuring a secure and authorized connection between you and the Time app.
Two Opt-In Methods:
Method 1:
- When an admin or manager adds you to Time and sends an invite (assuming you haven't opted in before), you'll receive the invite via email.
- After you respond to the invitation, install the app on your device. During the installation, you'll have the choice to opt in and receive text messages. Remember, U.S.-based users won't get SMS/text messages unless they explicitly opt in.
- Enter the same phone number you provided in your employee profile, confirm your willingness to receive texts, and select "next."
- You'll receive a text code to complete the app registration.
Method 2:
- You can explicitly opt in by sending a text message to (786) 629-5768 using any of these keywords: START, OPT-IN, OPTIN, SUBSCRIBE. If an admin or manager sends you an invite after you've opted in, you'll receive the invite both via email and text.
Opting Out and How to Do It:
- Every SMS/text sent by Time includes instructions on how to opt out for U.S. users. Simply respond to the SMS/text with one of these keywords: STOP, OPT-OUT, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE.
Rejoining the Text Messages:
- If you choose to opt out, you won't receive any SMS/text messages from Time until you decide to opt in again. It's all about giving you the control to receive the messages you want, when you want them.
