Timesheet Mobile now provides additional warnings to administrators and managers while they create reports. These messages are designed to highlight conditions that can lead to incorrect interpretation or calculation of times displayed in timesheet reports.
One message is presented when the current pay period is selected. As the pay period progresses, employee hours will accumulate and may exceed overtime threshold values at some point in the week. A new warning message is presented when viewing the current report that reminds administrators and managers that they are viewing a report range in which employees may still need to finish shifts before finalizing the report. In the example shown, the timesheet report for the week of Sunday April 23, 2017 through Saturday April 29, 2017 is being viewed in the middle of the week. Any shifts worked later in the week will obviously change values and may result in overtime that is not shown in the report until it is worked.
A second message is presented if an administrator or manager selects a date range that does not correspond to the pay period configured in Account > Settings > Account Settings. In this case, the values calculated in the report include values outside of a defined pay period or do not include a complete pay period. Since regular and overtime hours are calculated based on the defined work week and pay period, the message highlights that care should be taken when reviewing and making use of these values. In the example below, an administrator is viewing times for only three days of the work week. Since the employee may have shifts for the week before and after the selected days, values for regular and overtime may not be able to be calculated properly.
