Battery Consumption Concerns

What to do if an employee complains about battery drain.

The app uses very little power. Unlike many other apps, Timesheet Mobile’s geo-fencing technology monitors in the background but does not continuously send and receive data so there is no continuous drain.  A quick check of the phone's battery performance will show that the app typically uses less battery than your email, Facebook or other popular apps.

If a worker is complaining of battery drain, please have them capture a screen shot of battery usage screens below.

To Check battery usage on iPhone:

Go to Settings > Battery. 

To see how long each app has been open and running in the background, tap .

• No Cell Coverage and Low Signal means that your device is searching for a signal or being used with a low signal.
• Location and Background Location means that your battery was used when tracking your device.

To Check battery usage on Android:

Go to Settings > Battery&Power Saving > Battery Usage

Scroll down in Battery Usage to see consumption of all apps.
